An Old Time Double Feature!
Christian Wig

Richard Withers and MarkTamsula
with Kathy Fallon

Performing Saturday, November 17 at 8:00 PM at the home of Curt Cooper and Annie Trimble in Mt. Lebanon.

Old time musician Christian Wig from NE Ohio performs traditional fiddle tunes from the American frontier of the early 1800's and solos on the minstrel banjo.

Christian Wig began playing old-time music in 1971, starting with the banjo. He has played in bands since the mid- '70s -- South Forty, the North Fork Rounders, and Boiled Buzzards among others. Chris is also an author with a focus on the French and Indian War, a fur trade-era rendezvous musician, and a silversmith.

Pittsburghers Mark Tamsula, Richard Withers, and Kathy Fallon feature traditional instrumental music historically rooted in SW Pa. Mark and Richard regularly perform fiddle and banjo tunes drawn from the Sam Bayard Collections representing the musical tradition of many generations of fiddlers, fifers, and singers from our region. Their fourth CD The Snowy Hill focuses on fife tunes featuring Richard on wooden flutes joined by Kathy Fallon on guitar. Mark and Richard have performed locally since 1986.

Kathy Fallon is an accomplished guitar and tenor banjo player and singer who has performed and recorded Irish and other traditional music in Kansas City, Pittsburgh, and elsewhere over the country and the UK.
